1 Day Mount. Bisoke hike (6-7 hours)

Take part in this half-day experience while visiting Rwanda as you hike Mount Bisoke also referred to as Mount Visoke. This is one of the 8 Volcanoes in Virunga massif and it is dormant in nature. The overall experience takes about 6 to 7 hours ascending and descending but you will be rewarded with a great and memorable experience while viewing two countries (Rwanda and Dr Congo). The mountain stands at a height of 3,711m above sea level which means that trekkers are required to be physically fit and determined. For convenience, you’ll require a porter who will help to carry your extra luggage like packed food, gadgets and much more.

Detailed Itinerary.

Wake up or be picked from any point of your choice and immediately transfer to Volcanoes national park. Arrive at the park offices for briefing in Kinigi and you will have enough drinking water and packed lunch. Setting off to start the hike will begin at 8:00am, together with the professional guide and the porters. The trail is amazing as you enjoy the views of amazing crater lakes, forest mammals like duikers, forest hogs and many more. Also, numerous birds are spotted as you will have lunch in the mountains.
