Overview.
Take part in trekking gorillas in these 3 days where you will visit Bwindi impenetrable national Park home of half of the remaining world's population of mountain gorillas then after trekking, you will visit the Batwa people who first settled in the forest before it became a national park. Have a city tour within Entebbe town on your third day as you are waiting for your time of flight.
Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival and travel to Bwindi impenetrable forest.
Having landed at the airport in Entebbe, your driver guide will welcome and brief you about this 3 days gorilla trekking in Bwindi later, you will drive and leave the city for Bwindi impenetrable national Park where half of the remaining population of mountain gorillas live. The drive will take you almost 8 hours and you will have a stopover for your en-route lunch and then you will proceed with your journey and check in at the lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Batwa community tour.
Wake up in the morning have your breakfast as early as possible to catch up with the time of trekking and then you will transfer to the park headquarters to meet the guide who will take you through a briefing about what you will be seeing in the forest, the time you are going to spend in the forest plus the rules and regulations followed while trekking.
Immediately after that, you will head into the thick forest to search for them. The search for mountain gorillas can last from 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on their movements since they keep moving to look for what to eat. When you find them, you will be allowed to stand in front of them at a distance of 5 meters as you watch them playing, feeding and many more behaviors. You will also snap photos and after moving back to the lodge for lunch and some rest, in the evening you will head for the Batwa cultural experience.
The Batwa are people with their own unique culture worth visiting while in Bwindi. You will visit their communities, and have a look at the way they used to live while in the forest, they will capture your attention with their cultural dances and the community walk will end with storytelling from the old men and women. Return to the lodge for dinner.
Day 3: Travel back to Kampala / Entebbe, do a city tour and fly back.
Start your day with breakfast and then check out from the lodge and start a drive to Kampala, you will have a stop over at the equator for an experiment and photography, then drive to Igongo Cultural Centre for lunch.
Proceed with the journey to Entebbe and as soon as you arrive in Entebbe, head out for a city tour to take a look at the beauty of Uganda's capital city and later drive to the airport for your flight back to your home country.
