Overview
Your 8 days Uganda safari will take you to destinations like Kibale National Park and you will trek chimpanzees and hike to the top of the world to view the crater lakes, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel and game drive in the Kasenyi plains. You will transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national Park to trek the endangered mountain gorillas with a stopover in Ishasha sector to have a look at the rare tree climbing lions and after all your activities, you will travel back to the airport in Entebbe.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Uganda
When you arrive in Uganda the Pearl of Africa, you will be welcomed by our company representative who will brief and then drive you to the hotel around Kampala where you will have your night as you warm up for the next day's activity.
Day 2: Road trip to Kibale National Park and top of the world with Isunga cultural community adventures
Having had your breakfast in the morning, you will drive to where Kibale National Park is situated via Fort portal city where you will have your lunch and before checking in at the hotel, you will move to Isunga cultural community tours where you will meet the local guide who will take to the top of the world.
While on the top of the world, you will be able to have a spectacular view of the three crater lakes, have look at the Rwenzori Mountains, and a good photographic view of Kibale national park and the tea plantations. Return to the lodge for dinner.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake up early in the morning to catch up with the trekking time have your breakfast then drive to the Kanyanchu visitor center where you will meet the Park guide who will take you through a briefing about the rules followed while trekking. You will then move through the slippery trails in the forest to search for them.
The search for these chimpanzees will take you some hours because they keep moving from one place to another in search of food. Once seen, you will be allowed to spend one hour in their presence as you watch them swinging on the branches, grooming each other, and feeding as you will also take photos. You will also look at other primates like red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus, grey-cheeked mangabey and many more.
Move back to the lodge for lunch and after your drive guide will drive you to Queen Elizabeth National Park and onto reaching the Park, you will check in at the lodge of your booking for your night.
Day 4: Morning Boat cruise and evening game drive
Have your delicious breakfast and head for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel which connects the two lakes that is Lake Edward and Lake George. You will have a look at hippos, crocodiles, birdlife at the shores of the river, and mammals like elephants, warthogs, buffaloes and antelopes who always come to this river to drink some water. After a retreat to the lodge for your lunch, later in the evening, you will set off for an evening game drive on the Kasenyi trail, you have a look at several savannah animals, and birds since the Park is having over 500 species of birds. Before dawn, move back to the lodge for dinner
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national Park
Wake up in the morning have your breakfast and then drive to Bwindi impenetrable national Park With a stopover at Ishasha sector to track the rare tree climbing lions then proceed with the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national Park home to the half remaining number of the mountain gorillas.
Day 6: Gorilla trekking and head to Lake Mburo
Gorilla trekking begins early in the morning with breakfast and then you will transfer to the park headquarters where you will meet the Park ranger guide who will be well armed and ready to help you allocate the gorilla group in the forest after a quick briefing at the office. You will be divided into a group of 8 people and then led to the forest to trek for these gentle giants.
When found, the guide will tell you more about them and their lifestyle as you also take photos and have a look at their behaviours and if you are having flue, cough or any other infectious disease, you will not be allowed to take part in trekking. Return to the lodge for lunch and after checking out from the lodge and head to the whisper of the world lake Mburo national Park Famously known for homing the zebras.
Day 7: Morning game drive and boat cruise
The morning game drive will start with breakfast in the morning to have a look at the animals like various antelope species that can't be found anywhere in Uganda apart from lake Mburo, warthogs, zebras and lions on a rare note. Head back to the lodge for lunch and then an evening boat cruise on lake Mburo. You will have a look at hippos and many other animals that inhabit the water and also other mammals that visit the lake.
Day 8: Departure
Your 8 days will come to an end and you will wake up in the morning have your breakfast and then head for your journey back to the airport. En route lunch and a stop over at the equator in Kayabwe for photographic moments and after embark on your journey to the airport.
